10 Things for August

10 Things for August

1. Beige denim - the perfect color for transitioning to fall and will take you all the way through fall. I'm loving the Citizens of Humanity Horseshoe style (true to size, size down for a tighter fit). I also really like these and these if the horseshoe style isn't for you.

2. I can't stop watching the Olympics! As gymnastics wrapped up yesterday, I loved watching both the women and the men. Simone continues to be an example. I loved watching her congratulate her competitor, Rebecca Andrade from Brazil and then bowing down to her along with Jordan Chiles, while on the podium. A beautiful example of respecting your competitor, women supporting women, and the Olympic spirit.

3. Chicago is gearing up to host the DNC in a couple of weeks. I'm loving the "Madam President" sweatshirts by Lingua Franca. I've put one in my cart several times, but I haven't pulled the trigger because I don't want to jinx us. ;)

4. I ordered the Lido Sunglasses from Natalie Borton Designs and I am loving the shape!

5. Espresso and Black Croco launches next week and I'm so excited! I love the texture and both of these colors! They are perfect for fall, but honestly I love them all year round!

6. This butter yellow Donni sweater is so good. I am very into this color right now, especially paired with brown, and I love the classic design and it is so soft.

7. While we're on Donni, these pants are the best purchase I've made in a long time. I say that because I was on the fence about the style, but I'm so glad I ordered them. I've been wearing them in the heat with tank tops and loose button downs, but I'll wear them all fall with sweaters and sneaks.

8. I recently got a pedicure with the perfect butter yellow shade by Essie called Sunny Business. :)

9. I'm loving easy-breezy beach reads this summer. I find in the summer I'm not in my usual routine so it's helpful to have a book I can put down and pick up a week later. My favorites have been  Funny Story by Emily Henry and Swan Song by Elin Hilderbrand. If you've read any of their books before, then you know they're always good!

10. I was recently gifted this Artifactify set, which is a great way to capture daily moments. I have been trying to get into a rhythm of writing down daily gratitudes so this came at the perfect time!
